Amanda's Visit Day 6-7: Hou-Feng Trail and Fengyuan

 Monday - Tuesday, April 3rd-4th
On Tuesday, Amanda and I rode bikes on the Han River Biker Path to the Houli Horse Farm and met Leona for Lunch in Fengyuan. and got ohahmiswa at our favorite spot. That Monday, Michael and Jennifer had come over for homemade falafel lunch.

Along the riverside, we investigated the 'puffball' mushrooms I had discovered there the week before. Most of them had shriveled up and spores blown away, but a few were left for Amanda to demonstrate the namesake 'puff' by stepping on them.

The ride on the Hou-Feng Path through the old train tunnel and bridge over the wash is always fun, ten degrees cooler inside than it is out in the sun. The runoff from the reservoir dam upstream crashes into the broken concrete below on its way to the Strait.

Back in Fengyuan, we met up with Leona for lunch on Temple Street and walked a block for bubble tea and appetizers at one of Taichung's bubble tea originators. We relaxed and planned some for the rest of her trip.
